Bamboo, Soft & Sustainable?

Hello Friends, it’s been a few weeks since my last blog post. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is already in full swing into 2021. This is the perfect time reconnect and introduce all my new updates we’ve been working on along with new products were introducing to our site.

I should tell you that during my hospital trips these past 2.5 years, the one thing I would always bring with me was my PJs. There is nothing worse than being sick, in pain and wearing a hospital gown. So, when I opened my boutique, I knew I would never carry any sleepwear until I found something that would surpass what I would bring along with me. In late December 2020, I was fortunate to find an eco friendly sleepwear and activewear-clothing line. The clothing line Boody® is an Australian company that is using ecologically conscious materials. Using Bamboo, which needs significant less water than cotton and other materials makes this product eco-friendly and that is a good thing for the environment. Even the ink they use is vegetable based!

With the Boody® collection, which is made from Bamboo viscose with elastane, the sleepwear is breathable, super soft with thermo-regulating and sweat wicking, so you are not waking up to your fabric clinging to you if you generate heat as you sleep. Personally, I wake up with a body temp closer to dead which is creepy enough.

We are going to try the Active Muscle Tank and Active Full-Length leggings. The leggings and muscle tank are also made from the Viscose from Bamboo and spandex mix. Which by the way also includes 4-way stretch, odor-resistant and sweat wicking along with breathable fabric. I wanted to give these a test ride on the Peloton and they have held up beautifully riding on the bike with multiple washes. They hold their shape, texture and are incredibly soft. Along with the sleepwear and activewear we have the chunky bed socks for sleep, and sport ankle socks.

I think these new additions to our collection will be a great addition to the website. I really love how this company produces clothing that is not only wearable but also eco friendly to the environment. I feel like it’s a small step in the corrected direction in fashion. If you live in Hunterdon County and can safely come and visit us at the Stockton Market this weekend, we will have our new additions.
